Back in 1977, phone landlines were the norm, almost everyone subscribed to a newspaper, clunky word processors had negligible memory, and cassette tapes and vinyl were the ways we heard music. That’s what life was like when Michigan Design Center opened its doors 40 years ago. We’ve certainly come a long way technologically, but it’s always instructive – even fun – to look back at pop culture, the economy, news events, sports matches, and tech from another time. – George Bulanda
